Lama Tashi Norbu Gallery

Tashi Norbu’s imaginary landscape of the skies and a creative expression through movement. This is the “Time Travelers” dominating on his colorful canvas and a play of light and color, reminding us his strong roots in Impressionism. And he paints in his own unique way, his famous flying monks whose souls rise above into the winds, flying with hands and arms widely open, resembling to a contemporary dance in the skies. Here is a vitality and life force energy which is translated through the movement of their soul. They are surrounded by the clouds of impermanence – the Tibetan Thangka motive- which come and go across the skies, representing the delusions which appear to obscure the mind’s true nature, yet the nature of the sky remains unchanged!
