Description
The museum is looking for handy people who like to do manual labour and have the
following qualities:
- Basic level of Dutch / English
- Some technical insight and skills
- Like to work in a team
Projects we might ask your help for include the following:
Preparation for changing exhibitions: Making wooden frames for canvas paintings
Removing old exhibition: Move paintings and labels from the museum hall
Updating the second hall: Paint the walls anew
Building the exhibition: Hanging paintings, hanging labels, refocus lighting.
Work usually gets done on monday and tuesday when the museum is closed.

Description
The museum is looking for people who like to become a tour guide.
Because of the international character of the museum we ask the following of the volunteers:
- Basic level Dutch / English
- Affinity with at least one of the themes of the museum collection
- A representative attitude
- you are curious of nature
- you like to discuss subjects with a group
For giving tours on appointment for groups, and regular ‘walk-in’ tours, the museum is looking for people who like to read and learn about our collection and like to discuss their knowledge and insights with a small audience.
Your will be helping with the following aspects:
Welcoming a group
Doing a guided tour through the collection, stopping at the highlights and discuss the works interactively
Help with serving refreshments to the group
Be attentive to questions
Tours are done during opening hours of the museum (11-17 o’clock from Wednesdays-Sundays) and sometimes on appointment during closing hours of the museum.

Answering the phone
Process museum shop sales
Keep the museum shop tidy
Administration duties
Shifts at the reception are Wednesday – Sunday from 11 to 14 o’clock and from 14 till 17 o’clock. The museum is looking for volunteers who like to strengthen our reception desk team for at least one shift a week.
