Tashi Norbu at the Hofpoort Theatre


DON'T MISS THE EVENT!

This Sunday, 29th July at 2 o'clock in the afternoon
In Gallery space of Theater Theater

Tibetan artist Tashi Norbu of the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art / Emmen will give a live Painting Performance accompanied by classical musicians.
During this Live painting performance the Artist will create a Contemporary Tibetan Painting on a canvas of 2x5 meters during  45 minutes. The invited classical European Musicians for this event are Harpist Diana Saraswati de VriesXavier Boot as Pianist, Christy Von Beansprout as percussionist and Vocals in combination with Tibetan Mantras and Visual image of the performer  “Tibetan Buddhist Monk”  Azer Cirttan. There will be surprising contemporary dance movements inspired by the Ancient Buddhist sculptures of Ajanta and Allora Caves from India. This will be an important event to offer further inspirations to our audience. For more infos please contact the Director of the Theater Hofpoort Ms. Saskia Kluwen.

Lately, we had the pleasure of  the presence of Director's Hofpoort Theatre  to our Museum, Ms Saskia, who had the chance to watch Tashi Norbu's live performance during Color Run Emmen festival.

at the  Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art in Emmen.

How to create a Painting of a Buddha according to the principles of ancient Tibetan iconometry. A great opportunity to create your own Artwork to decorate your home, according to your preferred colors and the interior design of your space. The Painting of a Buddha will be combined by the Tibetan traditional method and the modern free style, giving a unique beauty to a Contemporary Tibetan Art piece that you will create with us. Join us for such an experience; for a one day Workshop. Hereunder is the information about it.
Materialen (verf, kwasten, doek), koffie/thee en iets lekkers zijn inclusief. Je deelname wordt berekend op basis van het formaat doek dat je kiest. Je kunt kiezen uit verschillende formaten doek:

0,50 x 0,50 cm :75 euros
0,70 x 100 cm: 125 euro
100 x 140 cm: 175 euro
1,20 x 140cm: 380 euro.

The above prices include all materials used. (canvas, colours, pencils etc) coffee/tea tibetan delicacies will be offered for free. After choosing the canvas size, please register and pay a deposit of 30% of the canvas chosen as mentioned above with the indication workshop of 5th August or 28th July . Soon as you register i shall prepare the canvas and the materials needed.

Giving Tutorials on how to paint a Buddha embodied by Tashi's inspirations...The Artist starts with rituals to signify protection in the whole space; to get the students into mindset and make them focused at the moment; Then Tashi and his Team with their wonderful participants underlying feelings of prosperity and mystery in search for ways to depict Buddhas on canvases, to strengthen that sense of divine presence in life. Buddhas playing with color and light, everywhere in the beautiful space; and they become 3 Dimensional and abstracted, highlighting the life force energy on their figures. Buddhas were always a source of inspiration, a symbol of good luck transmitting the great chi energy connecting us with Universe. A really unique workshop, so different, so awesome, so precious for all lucky participants who had Tashi's precious instructions precious touches, precious experience on their canvases!.
 


Buddha paintings on July 17, 2018  
at the Aardemagie Shop Wakkerendijk 38 Eemnes, Netherlands.
A break with a  delicious supper at the wonderful place of Ms Marike Bia. That was another Tibetan Contemporary Art workshop of Tashi Norbu In Eemnes, this time with sacred Tattoo Session, Elemental Raw Music, Chanting, Tibetan Prayer Flag workshop.
The participants created their own Buddha paintings on July 17, 2018   at the Aardemagie Shop Wakkerendijk 38 Eemnes, Netherlands. At the wonderful space of Marike's  Bia.

A place of peace for humans and animals  at Ms Maria's Moria home, South Holland.


This foundation of rescuing animals  invited the Tibetan Artist Tashi Norbu, to give  a workshop on painting.  He made an afternoon of painting and soothing mantras, for the free discarded animals  (mostly dogs and cats).  Tashi was happy to give his  workshop
and care in this great place of rescuing animals.  He created a marvelous workshop with mantras and live painting with his Team. 
 

10th july, in the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art:
East meets the West!


Various Artists had precious time with us, sharing their Art works and Artistic interests, at the Museum. For instance, two Artists from Pau, S. France, Ms Louise Burnet Munoz, French American, specialized in embroidered Tibetan Thangka, trained in the Himalayas and Ms Valérie Rbr Lebeau, Painter specialized on mixed media and collage. Valerie is presenting a symbolic piece of Art of a “Nowdays Christ” in our Musuem with collage of modern images and Tibetan scriptures; while Valerie presents her Buddha with pride on a beautiful brocade, using applique, cords and embroidery. Their work speak to the world about morality and universal principles. Ms Kay Gallerist came all the way from HongKong, as a representative of her Team of Artists. Kay studies Tashi Norbu's Artworks exhibited in the Museum for further collaboration with Tashi.  Tashi Norbu's aim to collaborate with Western and Asian Artists in the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art, where East meets the West.
 

 
8th July Color Festival event with its giant Banners! 

On 8th July our Museum participated in the Color Festival event  with its giant Banners!  So impressive!   We did  enjoyed the festival and Tashi Norbu gave a Live Painting Performance presenting a Tibetan Lascape with Buddhas at the Meditation posure.

 
Color run Festival at the yards of the Rensenpark and the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art.  At the back of the depiction you may see the glass roof of our Musuem.

Ms Valérie Rbr Lebeau at the Museum.  A Painter specialized on mixed media and collage. Valerie  is presenting a symbolic piece of Art of a “Nowdays Christ” in our Musuem with collage of modern images and Tibetan scriptures which our Museum provided her.
 

 
On 5th July LECTURER: Mrs Nicole Drake Crawfordl

On 5th July evening we had  a nice gathering with our guest LECTURER: Mrs Nicole Drake Crawfordl Curator from Wyoming State Museum,   University of Wyoming USA, who serves on the Board of the Association of Academic Museum and Galleries
SUBJECT: How to run a successful Art Gallery, Museum and Art Space.
This Lecture/tutorial was a kind offer to the people of Arts in Emmen, by the Artist Tashi Norbu, Executive and Artistic Director of The Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art.

This would be Mrs Nicole Drake Crawford 's 2nd visit to Emmen, on the 5th July. Her visit is specially arranged for her study of the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art and Culture, and its  exhibition. Afterwards she will be directed to other international curatorial events including India, Dharamsala, where she will also give workshops and lectures at The Tibet Museum in Dharamsala, residence of H.H. 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet.
